Registration

GEO 2020 is open to oil and gas professionals and business visitors. Children under the age of 16 will not be admitted. Compare all registration options and find your perfect pass here.

All attendees are requested to register. Registrations can be made online in advance or onsite during registration desk opening hours.

GEO 2020 is a trade event, and the nature of the exhibits and our attendees reflect this. As such attendance by anyone under the age of 16 is strictly prohibited at all times; this includes build up, the open days and breakdown of the exhibition.

Registrations can be made onsite during registration desk opening hours at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre and the Ritz Carlton hotel.

Registration for faculty and students is free of charge. To qualify, valid faculty or student ID must be presented on collection of badges at at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

To qualify as a young professional, you must be under the age of 35 with less than 10 years work experience.

Entry to the exhibition only is free of charge on all days.

The following credit and debit cards can be used as payment: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Cash payments will also be accepted for registrations made onsite.

Registration for faculty and students is free of charge. To qualify, valid faculty or student ID must be presented on collection of badges at at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Registration for the show is non-date specific. Once you have registered you are able to attend the show on any of the show open days.

  • All conference registration cancellations or changes must be received in writing at Informa markets’ office by 15 February 2020
  • All conference registration cancellations will be charged a fee of BD 57 (US$ 150) per delegate
  • Refunds, less cancellation charges, will be made until 15 February 2020 after which date no refunds will be made
  • No refunds will be made if a delegate fails to attend

Visas are not required by GCC passport holders. Visas are required by all other nationalities visiting Bahrain. Passport holders from 60+ countries are granted visas on arrival. Light refreshments are available from the coffee lounge in hall 1 of the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Complimentary hot beverages are available for all delegates and exhibitors.

A buffet lunch will be served in hall 2 Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre on Tuesday 17 March, Wednesday 18 March and Thursday 19 March. Buffet lunch tickets for all 3 days are included in the conference delegate registration fee. Lunch tickets for students and faculty registrations are not included. Lunch for Young Professionals will be served at the Al Raya Suites Hotel.

Buffet lunch tickets are available to purchase for US$ 60 per person. Tickets can be purchased onsite at the registration desks or in advance during online registration.

The abstract for each paper presented at the conference is published in the conference proceedings and hosted online. All delegates will receive a voucher card with instructions for access.

Media

Members of the media are welcome to attend GEO 2020. Admission is free of charge. Media are eligible to attend:

Media are not permitted to attend conference technical sessions.

In line with many countries, there is a requirement for international media to register for a media visa ahead of their visit and provide a list of all the technical equipment that will be brought in to the country in order to clear customs. International media includes journalists, reporters and accompanying crew members, all of whom should contact the Bahrain of Ministry Information Affairs to ensure smooth entry to the country.
