Registration
Who can attend?
GEO is open to oil and gas professionals and business visitors. Children under the age of 16 will not be admitted.
Do I need to register?
All attendees are requested to register. Registrations can be made online in advance closer to the event or onsite during exhibition opening hours.
Can I bring children?
GEO is a trade event, and the nature of the exhibits and our attendees reflect this. As such attendance by anyone under the age of 16 is strictly prohibited at all times; this includes build up, the open days and breakdown of the exhibition.
Can I register in advance?
Online advance registration will be available closer to the event.
Can I register on arrival?
Registrations can be made onsite during registration desk opening hours.

Registration for faculty and students is free of charge. To qualify, valid faculty or student ID must be presented on collection of badges.

- Access to the full programme of activities designed for students and young professionals
- Admission to all plenary sessions
- Access to conference proceedings online
- Invitation to the conference gala dinner
- All social activities as part of the student and young professionals programme
- Admission to the exhibition
- Refreshments at tea and coffee breaks
- Lunches at Al Raya Suites Hotel
To qualify as a young professional, you must be under the age of 35 with less than 10 years work experience.
Do I have to pay to attend the exhibition only?
Entry to the exhibition only is free of charge on all days.
What payment methods are accepted?
The following credit and debit cards can be used as payment: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Cash payments will also be accepted for registrations made onsite.
Do students and faculty have to pay?
Registration for faculty and students is free of charge. To qualify, valid faculty or student ID must be presented on collection of badges.
Is my registration date specific?
Registration for the show is non-date specific. Once you have registered you are able to attend the show on any of the show open days.

Where does the show take place?
The venue is the new Bahrain International Exhibition and Conference Centre in Sakhir
What times and dates does the show open?
GEO dates will be from 6 – 9 March 2023

How do I collect my badge / conference materials?
Badges and conference materials may be collected at the registration desks during registration desk opening hours. For security reasons, badges and conference materials must be collected in person.
When do the registration desks open?
Timings will be announced soon.

Do I need a visa?
Visas are not required by GCC passport holders. Visas are required by all other nationalities visiting Bahrain. Passport holders from 60+ countries are granted visas on arrival. How do I get a copy of the conference proceedings?
The abstract for each paper presented at the conference is published in the conference proceedings and hosted online.
Media
Can media attend?
Members of the media are welcome to attend GEO. Admission is free of charge. Media are eligible to attend:
- The exhibition
- The conference opening ceremony
- Plenary sessions
Media are not permitted to attend conference technical sessions.
Is special permission required?
In line with many countries, there is a requirement for international media to register for a media visa ahead of their visit and provide a list of all the technical equipment that will be brought in to the country in order to clear customs. International media includes journalists, reporters and accompanying crew members, all of whom should contact the Bahrain of Ministry Information Affairs to ensure smooth entry to the country.
